Money from oil and pensions are two of Ghana's newest sources of capital, and Abena Amoah plans to help manage both.
A former stockbroker and head of investment banking and finance at Renaissance Capital in Ghana, she branched out in 2009 to set up Baobab Advisors.
Following changes to pension laws, her next step is to set up private pension funds for workers in informal employment.
"I feel that a little change in that sector can create a snowballing effect in terms of people's lives," she tells The Africa Report.
Amoah is also on the investment advisory committee of Ghana's Petroleum Fund, which has made $100m of investments with new oil cash.
Part of a new wave of energetic businesswomen, she also mentors entrepreneurs.
