Like other international African football players, Sofiane Feghoul first played in the national youth teams of his country of birth, France.
It wasn't until October 2011 that the rising French star decided to wear the Algerian jersey.
A few weeks later Vahid Halilhodzic, the Algerian team's coach, called him up to play for the Foxes.
At the age of 23, the midfielder is one of the few members of his cohort to evolve in one of the best European teams, Valencia FC.
He arrived in Spain in 2010 from Grenoble, and today Feghouli is the undisputed top player in his club after a difficult first season and a stint on loan to Almeria.
Halilhodzic decided to make him one of the key players in the squad.
