African Cup of Nations: Afcon Top Scorers in group phase

The 2012 African Cup of Nations, jointly hosted by Gabon and Equatorial Guinea, has so far registered 45 goals after 16 matches in the group phase of the game.

There have been 11 goals in Group A, 10 in Group B, Group C boasts of 13 goals and Group D has 11.

Manucho Gonçalves (Angola) and Houssine Kharja (Morocco) are currently the top scorers having scored a total of 6 goals between them. They are followed by six other players, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang - Gabon, Sadio Diallo - Guinea, Ahmed Osman - Libya, Bashir Ahmed - Sudan, Youssef Msakni - Tunisia, Emmanuel Mayuka - Zambia, all of whom have scored two goals each.

26 players have scored one goal a piece, with Bakary Kone of Burkina Faso scoring an own-goal during his country's  encounter with Côte d'Ivoire.
