African Cup of Nations: Quarter Final for Ghana, Zambia, Sudan

By The Africa Report

Ghana and Mali on Wednesday night advanced to the Afcon 2012 knockout stage with a draw and a win respectively.

Black Stars were held to a one all draw by Guinea. Emmanuel Badu gave Black Stars the lead with a powerfull strike but Abdoul Camaraderie equalised for Guinea.

Ghana has only conceded one goal so far.

In another group match, Southern Africa's debutants Botswana lost their third straight game to Mali (2-1)

The Zebra's had grabbed the lead through Mogakolodi Ngeke. However, Garra Dembele and Seydou Keita  scored for Mali denying Botswana a famous win.

The Zebra's had gone into the match seeking to salvage at least a point and that prospect got a boost through Ngele's goal. But that hope faded 15minutes before full time when Keita grabbed the winner.
