Kenya’s former Prime Minster and long-time opposition leader Raila Odinga is a busy man embroiled in crafting a strategy to cinch the elusive presidency. However, as the days progress towards the August election, what strategies might Odinga turn to that haven't already been used by him in the last 25 years to secure victory?

At 77, Raila’s typical day entails several meetings with supporters, strategists and sessions receiving defectors from rival political parties.

“The path to the third liberation has begun… It is […] economic liberation and it will be led by the young people,” he told hundreds of supporters who had gathered at the Bomas of Kenya on 7 January to mark his birthday.
