President William Ruto has been on a charm offensive visiting African capitals not only to strike trade deals but also to introduce himself as the new sheriff in Kenya. Is Ruto out to outmatch his predecessor Uhuru Kenyatta who scored highly on foreign policy?

Last February while on a campaign trail in the Mt Kenya region Ruto made remarks about the Democratic Republic of Congo that left leaders of the central African country livid.
