A pioneering distributed mini-grid in Rwanda points one way forward for increasing energy access in Africa, Zola Electric CEO Bill Lenihan tells The Africa Report.

The 120 kilowatt peak (kWp) project, installed in the agricultural villages of Gakagati I and II in Nyagatare, Rwanda, is made up of 30 smart batteries spread across homes, businesses and other sites.
