Janusz Walus is no ordinary criminal in South Africa – and Chris Hani, his victim, is now a saint.

Walus is the infamous Apartheid-era Polish immigrant who assassinated Chris Hani (Mandela’s heir apparent) in 1993 and almost plunged South Africa into an ugly civil war. Hani’s funeral sparked riots at the time and has been billed as the largest funeral occasion in the country’s history.
