President Félix Tshisekedi has one more year to convince the electorate to give him another term in office. He has achieved a lot, at home, in the region and internationally, but he faces just as many hurdles.

President Félix Tshisekedi’s ascension to the presidency in 2018 was a surprise. With a fragile majority, he had had to fight for his space, with his predecessor Joseph Kabila and the latter’s allies still very much influential.
