John Mahama believes he has unfinished business with Ghana and his wide network of friends and family across the country will play an important role in his next political moves.

 

He plans to run for the presidency for the National Democratic Congress again in 2024, having lost twice to the New Patriotic Party’s Nana Akufo-Addo.

In 2016, Mahama became the first president in Ghana’s Fourth Republic to lose an election after serving only one term; he lost again in the 2020 polls, but by a narrower margin.
