After going back on his vow not to return under an IMF programme in July 2022 amidst the country’s dwindling economic fortunes, Ghana’s President Akufo-Addo is facing pressure to convince Ghanaians that the government is on track to restore the country to a path of economic prosperity.

At least three protests have rocked the Akufo-Addo government since the State of the Nation address was delivered in March 2022.
