Nigeria 2023: Tinubu’s defeat in Lagos sparks ethnic tension

The unexpected defeat of All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, has sparked ethnic tension in Lagos State where Tinubu holds sway as political godfather. 

Tinubu lost narrowly to the candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, who got massive votes from disenchanted urban youths, evangelicals and his Igbo kinsmen.
