On 9 March the company was served with court orders restraining Brown from participating in its management for seven days. Brown’s visa, work and residence permits have been revoked and he is now working from Seplat’s office in London. The injunction leading to the court order was filed by a group of shareholders in the company.

Nigerian oil and gas group Seplat has come out fighting after authorities revoked the visa, work and residence permits of CEO Roger Brown, arguing that improvements in corporate governance under Brown’s leadership are the real reason behind the dispute.
