After eight years in office, Governor Nasir El-Rufai’s ultimate dream was to install his former aide, Senator Uba Sani, as his successor to continue with his legacy. However, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) impressive performance at the presidential and federal legislative election in Kaduna has forced the controversial governor back to the drawing board.
Last month, El-Rufai revealed in a television interview that he had given Senator Uba Sani, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State, exclusive access to state cabinet meetings to keep him abreast of all government plans and policies.
