South Africa: Ahead of DA congress, party faces same old questions

As South Africa’s official opposition party, the Democratic Alliance (DA) gears up for what is expected to be one of its most important elective congresses, it finds itself needing to address the same old questions.

On 1 April and 2 April, the party will hold its conference in Midrand, the same venue that hosts the African Parliament.

The DA will elect leaders whom it believes are capable of showing South Africans who can lead the country away from decades of stagnation.
