In the midst of a structural reform programme, Abidjan has reached a $3.5bn financing agreement with the Bretton-Woods institution, compared to the expected $2.6bn, which spans over 40 months.

Although Côte d’Ivoire had asked for $2.6bn, by the end of its negotiations with the IMF it had managed to acquire $3.5bn of funding.
