Ethiopia: Who’s who in Getachew Reda’s cabinet

After being named head of the new interim administration governing Ethiopia’s war-torn Tigray region, Getachew Reda has appointed his cabinet. It contains a mixture of military men and longstanding Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) officials, many of them familiar faces.

The body’s formation implements a key part of the ceasefire that ended the fighting between TPLF forces and the federal government in November. It is due to govern the region until fresh elections are held.
