Ghana overshadows Nigeria, catches VW’s eye as West Africa hub

Motor vehicle manufacturer Volkswagen (VW) has set eyes on Ghana as the gateway to its West Africa operations as it seeks to expand its footprints on the continent, says Martina Biene, chairperson and managing director of Volkswagen Group South Africa, who’s also responsible for sub-Saharan Africa.

Where Nigeria is failing, Ghana is standing out with a working automotive development policy that appeals to the German automotive giant.
