Today, we delve into the plans and profile of Abba Yusuf popularly known as Abba Gida Gida who will lead the affairs of Kano State – Nigeria’s northern commercial capital – for the next four years.

The godfather of Kano politics, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, stirred up a hornet’s nest when he recently revealed that his godson and incoming Governor of Kano State, Abba Yusuf, would revisit the controversial dethronement of former Emir of Kano State, Muhammad Sanusi II, and the fragmentation of the Kano emirate.
