Caleb Mutfwang had hardly settled down as chairman of Mangu local government in Plateau State when Governor Simon Lalong dissolved the positions of all the elected 17 local government chairmen. Nearly 10 years later, Mutfwang will now succeed Lalong as governor. Will he have a conflict-free tenure?

Caleb Mutfwang had barely spent one year in office out of his statutory three years as the elected chairman of Mangu local government area in Plateau State, north-central Nigeria, when armed police officers came calling.
