Canada-listed junior miner Giyani will seek to raise between $280m and $300m for its manganese project at K. Hill in Botswana, CEO Danny Keating tells The Africa Report.

The company has been speaking to financial advisers about the plan, which will be to raise a mixture of debt and equity during 2024, Keating says. The aim is to start building the plant in 2025, with first production targeted in 2026. Giyani’s 2022 feasibility study gives an after-tax net present value for the project of $481m, and a 28% internal rate of return.
