Ghana: Economists fear central bank to print money for financial stability fund

Ghana needs to anchor expectations that the Financial Stability Fund (FSF) intended to stabilise the country’s banks won’t be financed with printed money, economists say.

The fund is being created to support banks affected by the government’s domestic debt restructuring programme, which has cut the income earned by banks from buying government debt.
