Algeria: President Tebboune seeks to revive economic cooperation with China

Long present in Algeria, Chinese companies have recently been less active, which instigated a presidential visit to Beijing and Shenzhen.

Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s state visit to China from 17 to 21 July is notably long. Although his predecessor Abdelaziz Bouteflika paid two visits to China in 2004 and 2006, neither lasted for more than three days.
