Skilled information technology professionals are leaving Nigeria’s banking industry, which is putting a strain on efforts to maintain cybersecurity.

Analysts say the increasing migration of tech talent in the Nigerian banking sector could trigger a vulnerability to cyberattacks. Japa, the slang for migration in Nigeria, which literally means escape, has seen the country lose a lot of manpower to other countries, such as the United Kingdom, the United States and Canada.
