In Nigeria, bandits terrorise former president Buhari’s home state

North-west Nigeria has become home to bandits and armed gangs who unleash terror across most of the seven states in the region.

Bandits have escalated their activities in Nigeria’s north-western state of Katsina, killing dozens of people and kidnapping many others, locals and community-based groups have said.
