Nigeria’s presidential election petition court has upheld Bola Tinubu’s victory, deflating hopes of opposition parties for an overturning of the outcome of the 25 February poll. 

The five-member court issued a unanimous decision that Tinubu, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, is the deserved winner of the election having polled a majority of the valid votes cast.
