We believe that education is the foundation of progress. In each edition of The Africa Report we explore the issues facing students, teachers and education policy-makers across the continent in our Education Campaign.

We have covered girls education, business schools and why they should be using African based-case studies, and asked employers what skills they need from graduates.

Our journalists have looked at the private vs public debate, gone into classrooms to find out why teachers feel going on strike is the only way to get better pay, studied why the curriculum must be relevant and heard about the shocking reality of sexual abuse in African schools.

We have also looked at why quantity doesn’t bring quality in building universities, and children who fall on the wrong side of the law are not been given a fair chance.

Clean Slate, our blog about education in Africa, contains regular posts from teachers, students and educationalists as well as updates on education across the continent. Email us at editorial @ theafricareport.com to submit your ideas. The best posts will be published in the magazine.

We also want you to comment, post and get involved on our Education Campaign Forum where you can currently find discussions on eLearning, girls education and business schools in Africa.
