Deep into the second-half, after Ghana's third goal, the missiles started to be directed at 500 Ghana fans gathered in a segregated corner. First it was bottles, then stones, then glass, all raining down on the pitch from Equatoguinean fans furious at perceived injustices at the hands of the referee. Ghana's fans, admirably restrained throughout, eventually made it to the opposite corner of the ground.
